Release of Bio-Formats 7.3.1

Today we are releasing Bio-Formats 7.3.1 which includes fixes for compiler warnings in Java 9+ across the core Bio-Formats components alongside format improvements for ICS, Imaris HDF, Aperio SVS, and PerkinElmer Columbus.

The full list of changes included in this release are as follows:

File format fixes and improvements:

• Aperio SVS
  • updated isThisType to reject files with a single IFD
• ICS (Image Cytometry Standard)
  • fixed a Null Pointer Exception when the image name is not set
• Imaris HDF
  • fixed handling of channels with an empty color attribute
• PerkinElmer Columbus
  • updated to use micrometers instead of reference frame for positions

Bio-Formats improvements:

• fixed warnings across all components for Java 9+
• fixed a number of String comparisons

Documentation improvements:

• fixed a number of broken external links
