Permanent link to Bio-Formats

Hi all !

I just finished my previous work and moved to a new lab, so I'm again using the Bio-Formats but on a whole new set of microscopy data !

So, just a brief thought about the new format of distribution of the Bio-formats (I'm interested in the command-line tools): I think it would be great if there would be (maybe I missed it) a permanent web link pointing at the latest version of the package. That way, it would be easy to programmatically install the latest version.

Hi Simon,

we have latest redirects are already into place for Bio-Formats that should meet your requirements:

- http://downloads.openmicroscopy.org/latest/bio-formats/ will link to the latest release Bio-Formats
- http://downloads.openmicroscopy.org/lat ... -formats5/ will link to the latest 5.x release of Bio-Formats
- http://downloads.openmicroscopy.org/lat ... ormats5.1/ will link to the latest 5.1.x release of Bio-Formats

Note for each of these you should be able to retrieve individual components, e.g. for the latest Bio-Formats command line tools you can use http://downloads.openmicroscopy.org/lat ... ftools.zip.
