Thanks to both of you...I will do both of those things, as well as check the 2,000-somthing lines in the Blitz-0 log between the last successful restart and the failed one.

I'm going to be the first to admit†hat I am in NO way a BSD/Unix guru, so **ANY** help here is Extremely appreciated!

OK, got it going. I had to restart postgresql with the -D option and tell it exactly where the database was. it couldn't find postmaster.pid.....wasn't there anyway, I looked for it and 'tweren't there, but sql started anyway. Then omero admin start cranked up the omero server successfully according to omero admin diagnostics.

Now to get back to the original problem, see if I can get more than one user in there at a time. The server isn't responding to login requests at the moment...arrrrgh.

One thing to try if you want to trouble-shoot login without worrying about client issues is to use the command line.

Code: Select all
$ bin/omero login
...
$ bin/omero logout
