Missing features in 5.1.0

Hi,

I just successfully updated our server to OMERO 5.1.0., congratulations on the new release, the transition was smooth and importing felt already faster

Unfortunately, though, both OMERO.Insight and OMERO.Web still do not expand "..." in filenames on the left pane, even if there is tons of space. I had already reported this in a previous thread, and I think there was a fix planned. Any progress on this?

EDIT: I was partly wrong: OMERO.Web expands file names (if there is space), but not folder names. OMERO.insight seems to always show the full folder name, but never expands the file names.

Thanks for the feedback on 5.1.0
Unfortunately we could not implement all the requested features for 5.1.0.
You can view the full paths in insight by clicking on "abc" button (toolbar above the tree). This should display the full path of the images and folders if truncated while displayed.
The icon does not seem to be clear enough, so we will have to review that.

Hi Jmarie,

you are right, the ABC-button does he job in insight. It would, however, still be great if the available space is made use of when displaying abbreviated names instead of using a standard maximum length. When users make the left pane larger (because they want to see the full file names and they don't know the abc-button), they expect this behavior. The same goes for folder names in OMERO.web (where there is no abc-button afaik).
