OMERO IJ question

Dear all,

Just a quick general question about the new OMERO IJ.
Is there any way of saving an image open from OMERO IJ in to FIJI directly into OMERO without having to save it into disk somewhere?

I mean an sort of option "Save to OMERO" type of thing?
If yes could someone explain it? If not is there plans for one?
Being a heavy user of OMERO and FIJI down/uploading directly between OMERO and FIJI would be great for me!

Thanks!
Best regards,
Helio

Hi Helio,

We do not currently provide a way of saving an image open from OMERO IJ in to FIJI directly into OMERO without having to save it onto the disk.

There are plans for having this functionality, but it would not be expected until after the next release of 4.4.1.

Many thanks,

Scott

Dear Otto

Curtis Rueden and others have made some significant progress on ImageJ2: the next version of ImageJ (see http://developer.imagej.net/about)
Using ImageJ2, it is now possible to run some ImageJ plugins on an OMERO server see https://github.com/imagej/imagej-omero
The work is still under development, a first release is scheduled in June.
See the various milestones
