Saving in original format

Hello everybody!!!

I need your help for a very stupid question. I took images with a Zeiss microscope and I saved them in .czi format. Now I have to modify these images (I need just to cut some area I'm not interested in) with ImageJ. I would like to keep the original format but when I click on save it save it as .tiff. I can choose other formats from the list (Save as>...) but I can't choose the .czi format or an option that allow me to keep the original format anyway. What can I do? I also tried to rename the image changing the file extension, but my laptop doesn't allow me to do it.
I'm sorry, I know it's very stupid but I'm really a beginner with this kind of stuff

Thank you very much!!!
:)

Hi,

We support reading of many (over 120) file formats, including Zeiss CZI. However, we only support saving in a subset of open file formats, OME-TIFF being the expected default to use. We don't support saving in the Zeiss CZI format, I'm afraid.

Note that by using the Bio-Formats exporter (rather than Save As), you will have some additional options for the format you wish to save in (but this doesn't include CZI).

Regards,
Roger
