Fiji OSX to OMERO Java 1.8 - Cannot generate DH Keypair

Hello,

I have the following configurations:
Host:
OSX Yosemiti 10.10.4
Running Java 1.8.0_65 [64-bit]

Fiji:
All Platforms - No JRE

OMERO (Server):
Version 5.1.4
Centos 7.1
Java 1.7.x

OMERO.insight:
Versin 5.1.4

Fiji with Java 1.6 works fine in OSX but, Java 1.6 too old (should be history).

Fiji with Java 1.7 is too slow either because of issues in Java or OSX version of Yosemite, here is the http://fiji.sc/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=965

Fiji with Java 1.8.0_65 [64-bit] in OSX works fine, no rendering issues like 1.7 but, it fails to connect to OMERO server using the plugin. I have downloaded OMERO.insight from here https://downloads.openmicroscopy.org/omero/5.1.4/ and added the plugin as instructed but, when trying to connect to OMERO via Fiji then I get the following exception:

OMERO.insight 5.1.4 has no problem connecting with OMERO directly but, when connecting via Fiji in OSX then I get the above exception. Trying the same from Windows works fine.

Hi Raf,

unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce your problem. I downloaded the no-JRE version of Fiji added the OMERO plugin 5.1.4, running Java 1.8.0_65. The only difference is that I already upgraded to OSX El Capitan.
Could you try again with a fresh downloaded Fiji and OMERO plugin?

I also tried on OSX El Capitan and did not face the same issue. I wonder if this could be a Java specific issue in OSX Yosemite.

More info on this.

In my previous comment, I mentioned that I tested the on El Capitan and it worked. Well, the El Capitan was done in a different machine than the one that was giving this error. When I upgraded this machine from Yosemite to El Capitan strangely I got the same error when trying to connect.

I was sure that it is something to do with this computer. I removed the Fiji and OMERO.insight 5.1.4 and downloaded them again and same issue. Then I decided that let's run Update Fiji option and include OMERO 5.1 in the list of updated sites, after updating the Fiji and restarting it, everything is working fine.
