Import large whole slide images to OMERO

We are generating large whole slide Images (WSI) using the Pannoramic 250 Flash scanner (3DHistech). The ouput format is .mrxs and subsequently we convert these images to .jp2 - format for some postprocessing steps.
Now we have some trouble to manage these jp2-files with OMERO. They can be imported unproblematically but are not displayed at all showing a "clock" thumbnail instead. To give you an example we uploaded an image as user "peuskirchen": N1180-13_R_ZEB-1_1.jp2, ID: 181770.
Is there a WSI format that works and we can switch to or is it possible to get a proper solution for these large jp2-files ?
It would be great if somebody could help us.
