Open Microscopy Environment

Hi all,

I spoke about the following with Jean-Marie at the OME meeting and am following up with a forum post since others may have thoughts and input on this feature request as well.

The general idea is to have a thumbnail viewer (or full viewer) that displays all the Fields in a well in the "correct" geometric arrangement. This would be very useful for tiled well acquisitions and also for our case where we image a regular grid of printed cell-spots per well. Insight has something that tries to do this with the "View all fields for the selected well" button at the top of the center panel but it doesn't work well (even though it clearly tries to do the right thing) and there is no such function in OMERO.web.

I was actually talking about such feature with Gus last week
after reviewing my notes. They ended up in the washing machine so it took me longer to "read" them.
I will create a card for such feature. We also need to look at the case of plate with a large number of fields.
The currently implemented selection does not really work for the number you indicated.

Thanks for moving my request forward. Let me know if I can provide any further info about our use case. Indeed, in our current use case we have 700 fields in a well (in 8-well plates) imaged from a regular 20 by 35 grid of printed spots. Our next platform will use 96-well plates with a 9 by 9 regular grid printed per well.
