Perkin Elmer Living Image files

Hello,

I am working to implement OMERO within my lab and some of the researchers addressed a concern with it's inability to interpret files produced by the IVIS live imaging system. The system uses the proprietary Living image software were the images taken by the microscope are manipulated.

My question is, the living image software outputs the manipulated image as a .png/.jpg file and the raw data as a .txt file. Is there a way for OMERO to view and manipulate the raw data or must it be done on the living image system?

Currently what i have been telling them to do is upload the manipulated image and attach the raw data to the image. Is there a better solution?

Thanks,
Ben

Bio-Formats (and therefore OMERO) does not yet support the Living Image format. Support is tracked under https://trac.openmicroscopy.org/ome/ticket/11379. I can add you to the CC for that ticket if you'd like. Especially if you think the version of the imaging platform has changed from that original request, we'd appreciate your uploading sample data.

At the moment, this is probably the best solution.

All the best for the holidays.
