The description of the image is displayed on the right-hand side when you select an image.
We display information about the owner of the image when the image is imported. This will not necessary correspond to the Experimenter tag in the XML file.

Hello Jmarie,

We know that the description of the image is displayed on the right-hand side of OMERO.insight and we can edit it there.

Nevertheless, our problem is presented when we modify the Description tag in an xml file, and then when we import it into OMERO, this metadata is not displayed.
We have the same problem when we edit the Experimenter tag in an xml file. After insert it into an .ome.tiff image, validate it (with the command xmlvalid) and import it with OMERO.importer, these metadata are not displayed.
Do you know why is that happening? Is it an internal error of OMERO?

this sounds very like the issue reported here [url=https://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/ome/ticket/12056[/url].

It's currently being looked into. I've CC'd you on the ticket so you should receive a notification when we've found a workaround.
