Newbie Post on Installation

Hi everyone, General Question.

I am in the early stages of sitting up an archive image database and I am after general information on users experience before I get too far along the process. I have read a few of the technical posts and have some good IT support available to me. The 2 University IT issues appear to be 1. Setting up any site with external database access, that will be required for this project. 2. Purchase of storage space, looking initially at 2+ Tb. Happy to receive anyones experience in setting up Omero in similar environment.

Hopefully members of the community will share their experience with you soon. In the meantime however, you will probably find the updates I just published on our example server set-up page helpful, especially regarding storage.
