Restoring and Upgrading OMERO

I have two questions. I am restoring an OMERO.server db that was maintained in version 4.2.1. I will follow restoration of the server according to the documentation found in

my questions are
1) since the latest release is 4.3.4. is it ok to restore the db in the newer version or shoud i install it on 4.2.1 and then upgrade?
2) is it ok to upgrade from version 4.2.1 to version 4.3.4 or should i upgrade between the intermediate versions until i reach 4.3.4

Hi Ivan, in both cases the answer is that you will need to run the upgrade scripts before you can start the server with the appropriate version, i.e. you can start the 4.2 server against your 4.2 database, but to run a 4.3 server against the database, you will need to run the OMERO4.3__0/OMERO4.2__0.sql script.
