Patch PostgreSQL 8.3.18

I just want to ask if I have to consider somethig, before just updating to PostgreSQL 8.3.18 on a Windows machine.

Hi Raif,

in general we encourage upgrading if you can afford the downtime. What version are you currently using? After stopping the OMERO server, you should take a backup as outlined on the "Backup and Restore" page.

Upgrades within the same major version (in your case 8.3.x) should be perfectly fine.
