Dear all,

apart from the FAQs. Has anyone experience of setting up Omero on a Windows Server 2008?

Kind regards,

Ralf

If anyone else has experiences (good or bad), please add them; but speaking for the core developers, Ralf, definitely. Windows Server 2008 is one of our test platforms and getting started should be straight-forward following the instructions. Have you run into any issues?

Howdie,
thats what I call quite a fast reply. Cheers for that. No I am in the process of setting up a server system and just wondered why I should use 2003 rather than 2008. So I will do the 64-bit 2008 Server. Got the stronge feeling issues will raise anyway and we'll meet again... But if anyone as jmoore pointed out has already any data on that...! Let 'em flow and free wheelin'...

Ralf, I have to apologize. The change to 2010 had me confused (I'm just getting used to writing 2009 on my checks): we test on 2003 not 2008. Sorry. So, everyone, I'm just as interested as Ralf: anyone have experience with Windows Server 2008?
