Debian 9 installation

Hi,
First, I find your documentation for different Linux distributions very useful.
Having the required packages listed makes it easy to install OMERO.server!
I recently set up a small VM so that a couple of students could use it for developing scripts, and I have one question regarding zeroc-ice...
On Debian 9, when you install "zeroc-ice-all-runtime", by default two new daemons (icegridregistry and glacier2router) are installed and automatically start up on boot. However, they do not seem necessary (are they?) and use the very same ports that OMERO needs, and thus have to be disabled.
Is it the only metapackage which comes with all the required libraries? Is it okay to disable those services?
