omero importer problems

I used bioformats to convert tif images to the ome.tif format. When I try to use the omero importer, I can't import the ome.tif files. I am able to import the .tif files, but the error I get when trying to import the ome.tif files is:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid series: 0.

I should say that I am using omero server version 4.1.1 and the newest version of bioformats. Perhaps there is a backwards compatibility issue?

I just uploaded the images.

The thing that is puzzling to me is that the .tif files import just fine, but when I convert them to ome.tif using bioformats they do not import.
