Errors in log files

Postby rguha » Fri Jun 17, 2011 8:02 pm

Hi, I have recently installed Omero server 4.3.0 and am planning to put it through its paces. However on running diagnostics I see that a number of log files have errors. For example, in DropBox.log I see a NoEndpointException (https://gist.github.com/1032182). However no error was reported during server startup. Also, in Indexer-0.log I see many hibernate related errors, some which can be see at https://gist.github.com/1032186. The output of omero admin diagnostics is at https://gist.github.com/1032188

The server seems to be running (though I can't test it out as it seems I don't have pysqlite2 and so DJango fails to start), but are these errors something to worry about?

Thanks,
rguha

Would it be possible to get all of your Indexer-0.log to see the cause of the Hibernate exceptions? Also, what steps have you taken to setup and start the OMERO.web django app? Have you tried connecting via Insight (the Java client)?

Cheers,
~Josh

The full log file can be viewed at https://gist.github.com/1036306

I have gotten the Django webserver running, but as i am working remotely, viewing localhost:4080 does not work for. Is there a setting that I can change so that I can view the admin page via the host name, say myhost:4080?

The issue your indexer ran into was a transient one that we thought we had fixed for 4.3.0. I've reopened http://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/ome/ticket/5526 and we'll look into it again for 4.3.1. Sorry for the noise.

The configuration of your web ports is all documented under Web on production. Can you tell us more about how you've tried to configure it so far, and we should be able to help you further? The output of "bin/omero web -h" is often useful.

Cheers,
~Josh
