Hello Blazej,

Thanks for the reply. As per your suggestion, I uninstalled PyWin32 and and installed Python26 and PyWin32 after rebooting the system. But the problem still persists. Does the problem occur because the Windows is 64 bit and the rest of the application 32 bit? In that case should I try installing all the 64 bit version of the applications?

Hi Anand,

you could certainly re-try with 64bit across the board, but there are likely to be other pitfalls. When I've had trouble the the pywin32 install previously, I've re-installed and un-installed it multiple times. Can you perhaps try opening a console as an admin ("Run as...") and execute the installer with it? There's some odd combination of how you installed python and how you install pywin32 which must work properly together, but unfortunately, I don't know how you did each, so it's quite difficult to tell what will work for you.

Best wishes,
~Josh

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the reply. I have now installed all the 64-bit versions of all the applications. But this time I am using Python 2.7.5 instead of Python 2.6.x. On issuing the "omero admin diagnostics" command following is displayed:
------------------------------------
C:\OMERO.server\bin>omero admin diagnostics

ERROR: Could not import omero.cli! (DLL load failed: The specified modul

This means that your installation is incomplete. Contact

as well as which version you are building from. If you
downloaded a distribution, please provide which link you
used.

Is Python27 supported or do I have to revert back to Python26? Kindly suggest.

Hi,

It's confirmed that Python 2.7.5 is not supported.

Anand, yes, sorry: Python 2.7 is not supported with your Ice version. If you compile Ice 3.3 or Ice 3.4 against Python 2.7, then you can use the two of those together. But neither ZeroC nor the OME team provide pre-built binaries in that combination.

Cheers,
~Josh.
