OMERO 5 clients: web vs insight

Hello,

Do I understand correctly that there no import functionality to the OMERO5.web client? And I have to install either the desktop insight or Java Web Start OMERO.insight for that? (http://help.openmicroscopy.org/web-client.html)

If so, where can I download the right desktop clients for OMERO 5? I get the same error with OMERO.insight about the different versions of the server and the client.

Hi again,

Following the steps suggested here (http://help.openmicroscopy.org/importing-data-5.html) the import completes but I can not open any image (see screen shot for error). I have tried the sample images from http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/supp ... /data.html as well as a JPEG and OME TIFF from cellimagelibrary.org. I can see the JPEG file perfectly fine outside the OMERO. On the console I get no error messages.

Any ideas about what might be wrong?

Hi ilinca,

Could you send us the insight log file? it should be under /users/yourname/omero/log
If you cannot, go to the help menu of OMERO.insight and click on "View log"

Hi,

On the server running at demo.openmicroscopy.org I can upload fine and also see the image afterwards without any problem. Maybe that will help when tracking the problem? My user there is itudose . I used the exact same image that I try to upload to my server and I have the problem described above.

I justed accessed your image http://demo.openmicroscopy.org/webclien ... mage-69311 which seems to render fine. Would you mind trying the webclient to see if it looks as you expect?
