Leica LAS-AF 4.0

Postby RonHoebe » Thu Jul 24, 2014 9:30 am

We recently updated our Leica Microscopes to LAS-AF 4.0. The Bioformats (5.02) importer now shows a message box stating “the file format is not supported”. LAS-AF 3.x and 2.x files are working OK.

I attached a LAS-AF 4.x LIF file.

Thank you for reporting this, and for sending an example file. We have a ticket for this problem on our issue tracking system:

https://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/ome/ticket/12144

If you would like to be automatically notified of updates to that ticket, please let me know. Otherwise, I would expect us to have that fixed before the 5.0.4 release later this summer.

You should now receive an email with "[OME] #12144" in the subject line each time we update the status of the ticket.

Hi all,

Just a quick heads up to say that Leica is aware of the issue. After a quick chat with the guys from Wetzlar, it is likely that the problem will be corrected in the next update of LAS AF, expected around mid-september.

I'll post any further details as soon as possible.

Cheers,
Alex
