This will be fixed in 5.1 as sending email is handled via service not Django.

Hi,

Yes, i guess it does. So you intend to notify people by e-mail if they're included in a share.
Just an idea though, i thought it was simpler to get a number icon on the public tree or basket like it happens when you add an image to your basket.

Hi Alex,

When you create a share it always appear in your and all members public tab tree, but we thought that was not enough. If your OMERO.web has omero.web.email* properties set up all members will be notified about new share. The same will happen when someone add new comment.

I understood that. I was just suggesting another way to notify people but this e-mail option sounds good.
