If you are having trouble with image files, there is information about reporting bugs in the Bio-Formats documentation. Please send us the data and let us know what version of Bio-Formats you are using. For issues with your code, please provide a link to a public repository, ideally GitHub.
It also fails on Linux with Java 1.8.0_31. One thing I noticed was that our jace version is r39 from maven.imagej.net, but note http://search.maven.org/#search|gav|1|g ... ce-core%22 these use different versioning. Is there a reason for this. Not sure if it's related to the failure, though.
Hey everyone, Thanks a lot for the help - I just ended up using Java 7 to build bioformats. Seems like no matter what I tried with Java 8 I would get that same unrecognized tag constant error.
