Do you still get errors after stopping the processor?

I would suggest trying the following:
- restarting omero (
Code: Select all
bin\omero admin restart
)
- stop the processor (
Code: Select all
bin\omero admin ice "server stop Processor-0"
)
- start the processor (
Code: Select all
bin\omero admin ice "server start Processor-0"
)
and see after each if you can then run scripts.

- get the diagnostics (
Code: Select all
bin\omero admin diagnostics
) to see if the processor is running after trying to run a script after each of the above steps.

Dear Chettia,

I'm sorry that we have not yet been able to resolve your problem.
Unless you have a Windows expert in your institution who is able to
assist you in identifying what's going wrong here, it's unlikely that
we can help you much further remotely--without further information
it's difficult to provide any further suggestions.

In order to set up a working OMERO server, there are two alternatives
which you might want to explore:

1) Running OMERO.server in a virtual machine.

Using the virtual appliance we provide means you get a
pre-configured setup which requires little configuration on your
part. However, it won't perform as well as a native installation,
but would certainly be useful in trialling and testing OMERO.

https://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/sup ... _appliance

2) Running OMERO.server on Linux.

Running natively will give better performance than the virtual
appliance. You'll probably get better performance on Linux than
Windows, and it is also rather easier to diagnose problems so it
will also be possible to provide further assistance should there be
any problems. One commonly-used Linux distribution which we would
recommend is Ubuntu; a link to the server installer is here:

http://www.ubuntu.com/download/server

Other Linux distributions are also fine to use, but if you're
unfamiliar with Linux, this one is a good choice.

Code: Select all
Server: Processor-0 inactive (disabled)

From the diagnostics and tests you did, it looks like the processor is "disabled". Quite why that is the case is not clear, but it's likely that fixing whatever is preventing the processor from starting will solve your problems. I would suggest looking in the main log files (master and blitz) and seeing if any errors are being reported. From the diagnostics, there are no obvious reasons for this. You're currently using python 2.5; it might be worth upgrading to 2.6.x and adjusting your PATH appropriately, then restarting OMERO to see if this lets the processor start up.

The processor not being started is the error we originally identified, so yes, I think this is the same error.
