GET images directly from the repository via http(s)?

Is it possible to GET images files by using HTTP? That is, does the web app support pulling image files directly?
Alternatively, is there a RESTful interface available or in the works?

Hi. Could I ask you to be a little more specific about what you'd like to see? Are you talking about the Image data specifically (OMERO does not provide access to the binary repository files via any API), the original data files, something else?
