Import Opera .flex files with lurawave compression

Postby tslab » Wed Jan 23, 2013 5:07 am

Hi

I would like to know if it is possible to import Opera compressed flex files into Omero (that have been captured with lurawave compression). I understand the macbiophotonics ImageJ plugin (LuraWave LWF decoder) can be used to decode flex files and export as Tiffs etc. Is it possible to somehow use imageJ to import these files or is there perhaps some other method?

Thank you for your time

Hi John,

The best thing to do is to use Macbiophotonics ImageJ to convert your LuraWave .flex files to OME-TIFF, and then import the OME-TIFF files into OMERO. You should be able to open the files in ImageJ by selecting "Plugins > LOCI > Bio-Formats Importer", and save them as OME-TIFF by selecting "Plugins > LOCI > Bio-Formats Exporter".
